Microsoft 365 & Windows

Administering and supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows environments – the part that simply has to work every day.

Homelab & self-hosting

A Proxmox cluster with my own services, backups, monitoring and firewall rules. I’d rather run it myself than rent it somewhere.

Smart home

Home Assistant with Matter/Thread, custom dashboards and automations that still know what they are doing after a power outage. Flipping a light switch by hand? Only in an emergency.

Maker

ESP32 displays, 3D printing and small Windows/Mac tools – usually because what I needed did not exist in that form.

A chain reaction instead of manual work

This is how an automation runs at my place: a sensor notices something, Home Assistant decides, a radio command goes out – and the light is on before I would have found the switch.

  1. Sensor detects motion
  2. Automation starts
  3. Rules click into place
  4. Command over Matter
  5. Light on

Some call that lazy – I call it efficient.

// How I work

I’m an IT technician, not a developer. Everything you see here – the projects and this website – was built with AI: I describe what I need, AI writes the code, I test it, give feedback and decide what stays. That’s also known as vibe coding.

What I bring is knowing what a tool is for, how it has to feel in everyday use – and the patience to keep testing until it does exactly that.
